Trident II D5

Overview

L3Harris has supported the U.S. Navy's submarine-launched Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program for more than 40 years with boost and post boost propulsion systems produced at its Gainesville and Orange County, Virginia, facilities. 

To date, the company has manufactured nearly 4,000 Post Boost Control System Gas Generator Units for the Trident I C4 and Trident II D5 programs, along with the Nose Fairing Jettison Motors and Third State Eject Motors.

Today, L3Harris continues its support on the Trident II D5 missile currently aboard USS OHIO-class submarines and baselined for the new Columbia class submarines. L3Harris is proud to be part of the FBM team that has a remarkable mission success track record.
