A Major Milestone in Unmanned Systems Technology: The Delivery of Lithium-ion Batteries for Submarine Use

L3Harris has achieved a significant advancement delivering the first production Autonomous Undersea Vehicles (AUV) powered by Lithium-ion (Li-ion) Passive Propagation Resistant (PPR) batteries that are certified for use on U.S. submarines.

L3Harris will supply WESCAM MX-10MS sensors for integration on Dstl’s MAST-13 ASV in support of the United Kingdom’s ongoing USV technology demonstrator program.
