Nulka is currently being installed on Australian and Canadian ships. The system is effective over a full 360 degrees around the defended ship. The L3Harris rocket motor launches the decoy payload and hovers it away from the ship where it simulates a radar return from a large ship overlapping the “target" signal. The decoy provides a larger, more attractive target to the anti-ship missile as it moves slowly away from the ship, thus defeating the threat.

L3Harris Technologies has completed the sale of its specialized materials business, Aerojet Ordnance Tennessee, Inc. (A.O.T.), to BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) for approximately $100 million.
