L3Harris' Degaussing System (DS) provides controlled current to independent degaussing coils embedded throughut the hull of a ship. The DS provides the precise current required to generate a composite magnetic field that counteracts the effects of the ship on the earth's magnetic field. These generated fiels are produced by passing direct current through each degaussing coil.
