C-Worker 4 ASV
The C-Worker 4 is a robust and capable Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) ideal for inshore and coastal survey work. The C-Worker 4 is a stable platform with a large payload capacity for a range of survey sensors. With an endurance of up to 48 hours and efficient fuel consumption of less than 2.5 liters of diesel an hour, the C-Worker 4 is an ideal replacement for traditional survey vessels.
The vehicle has a sea chest containing an actuated mounting system for subsea sensors and a 10U rack system for housing sensor topsides. The C-Worker 4 can also be supplied with a winch system. Its waterjet propulsion system enables it to operate in very shallow and constrained waters, often inaccessible to standard survey vessels.
C-Worker 4 is easy to mobilize via a single point lift system or slipway launch. It can be operated from a shore-side control room or another vessel. A proven platform, the C-Worker 4 has been deployed in operations worldwide for tasks including hydrographic survey, above-water mapping, and oceanographic data collection.
The C-Worker 4 has proven itself a safe, reliable and robust vehicle for coastal environments operations and operates using the ASView autonomous control system. It can be controlled manually or to follow pre-programmed routes that can be updated at any point through an easy to use PC based graphical user interface.
Control modes include waypoint and line following, heading and track hold, station keeping and remote control. The ASView features standard S57 navigational charts with the ability to import files such as geotiff and .dxf survey lines.
The C-Worker 4 comes as standard with the enhanced communications and situational awareness system supporting operations at extended ranges outside of the operator’s direct line of sight. The vehicle can host L3Harris’ advanced autonomy system, which enables COLREG-aware autonomous navigation and path planning. The C-Worker 4 is safety assured with its emergency stop safety function and an AIS-based last response system that disengages the propulsion system.
