Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation Course Content

The 14-day APS MCC program equips pilots with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to commence initial type rating training to the standards generally required by a commercial air transport operator.

To ensure a blend of theoretical and practical training, our Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation course blends ground school with flight simulator training. During the 40 hours of simulator training on a state-of-the-art flight training device (B737 or A320), scenarios are introduced to develop professional levels of competence in several areas, including workload management and communication. The simulator part of the APS MCC course also includes swept wing jet aircraft training.

As the APS MCC training course unfolds, pilots will build on skills that are vital to any pilot’s success, such as:

Ground School (25 hours)

Subjects covered during the APS MCC ground school include:

• Crew resource management

• Technical knowledge of the aircraft

• Standard operating procedures

• Managing abnormal/non-normal events

Simulator Training (40 hours)

Almost two thirds of the APS MCC course will be spent on practical training. Conducted in full flight simulators (FNPTII) designed and built by ��ý, your crew will gain valuable experience, including:

• Operating a commercial aircraft in a dynamic environment

• Working with all the resources a modern airline pilot has access to in a typical day

• Challenging the pilot and the crew, to maintain safety at all times

APS MCC Course Timeline

The Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation course is a structured training program that maximizes sufficient rest, days off, study, and preparation time.

TIMELINE
Week 1	The first week of the APS MCC course consists of four days in the classroom developing the knowledge required for complex aircraft operation including an understanding of the concept of multi-crew co-operation and the airline operating environment.
Week 2	This is followed by five days in a flight simulator training device to develop the skills and strategies in aircraft operation and management learned during the previous week's ground school.
Week 3	The second phase of the APS MCC course consists of a further five days of operations focused on developing the handling skills necessary for all jet aircraft. Trainees will review jet aerodynamics and swept-wing handling techniques, and gain further exposure to the commercial procedural environment. The final day is an assessment where the pilot can demonstrate their competence of operating within a complex, multi-crew commercial aircraft environment.

Unlimited use of flat panel procedural trainers
