In May and June 2024, L3Harris employees participated in 5km and 10km RCAF Run events, virtually and in-person, as part of the company’s commitment to celebrating the RCAF Centennial. The running events held around the globe aim to connect current and former military and their families with Canadians, at home or abroad, through sport and fitness, with proceeds supporting the RCAF Centennial Fund.
“It’s an honour to demonstrate our support for the RCAF and participate in Centennial events,” stated Rich Foster, Vice President, L3Harris Canada. “Our participation illustrates our dedication and pride towards the RCAF’s mission, as well as our own.”
Further demonstrating pride, L3Harris sites across Canada organized local races at its facilities to allow employees registered for the virtual events to participate together, connect, and celebrate Canada’s Air Force and its members. Participating sites included: Mirabel (Quebec), Montreal (Quebec), Enfield (Nova Scotia), Hamilton (Ontario), and Ottawa (Ontario).
“Supporting the RCAF Run and encouraging our employees to participate not only provides a platform for us to celebrate our long-standing partnership with the RCAF but also fulfills our commitment to offering an engaging and motivating workplace,” said Ugo Paniconi, General Manager, L3Harris (Mirabel, Quebec). “This event was truly inspiring, and we hope to host similar initiatives in the upcoming years to foster collaboration, engagement and pride.”
L3Harris will continue to celebrate the RCAF’s remarkable milestone at upcoming summer events. The company is sponsoring several air shows across the country, including the Bagotville Air Show (June 22-23), the Quinte International Air Show at CFB Trenton (June 29-30) and the Cold Lake Air Show (July 20-21).
