When military aircraft must operate in challenging environments, the go-to back-up system is the L3Harris GH-4200 Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS). The solid-state GH-4200 embodies the next generation of standby technology, designed specifically for single and tandem high-performance military aircraft, and a repeater display for multiple cockpits. The system contains internal attitude, air data and accelerometer sensors and is able to receive turn rate data as well as analog deviation data from a navigation receiver, making it the ideal standby system for military flight support and safety.

Compact design provides installation options

The GH-4200 system’s compact and rugged design allows it to be installed virtually anywhere in the cockpit, providing valuable airspeed, altitude, attitude, turn rate and vertical speed data to the pilot(s) in the event of a panel failure. The GH-4200’s Flat-panel Active Matrix LCD is sunlight-readable and NVG-compatible.

 

A flexible, seamless solution

The GH-4200 supports multiple input/output data transfer protocols, including ARINC 429, RS-232, discrete and analog signals. It is designed to employ field-loadable software. And the flexible system works seamlessly with new digital cockpit avionics as well as older analog systems.

 

Configurable for single- or tandem-pilot aircraft

The 3-ATI self-contained, solid-state GH-4200 is configurable for single and tandem pilot aircraft, with a repeater display (GHR-4000) available for multiple cockpits. The GH-4200 is equipped with high-rate attitude sensors and supersonic air data sensors.
